Dr. Alexander Duisberg is a partner for the digital economy in our corporate department in Munich
Alexander covers a broad range of tech and data related matters. He is specialized in digital transformation projects, IT and data-driven business models, transactional data protection, cyber security, AI, IoT and Industrie 4.0. In addition, he works on various government committees to help shape the legal framework of the future.
His advisory services are driven by helping clients to develop and transform their businesses through the impact of technology on a national and multi-jurisdictional basis . Alexander's advice covers a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters in technology and data law, where he acts on behalf of mid-size to large corporate organizations as well as tech suppliers, in particular in the automotive and mobility, health care, industrial and insurance sectors. Further, he is a panelist on the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center for domain disputes, and has represented clients in domestic and international arbitration of technology disputes.
Since many years, Alexander is listed as one of the leading practitioners in his field, and recognized as an eminent thought-leader on digital economy matters. He has been invited as an active member to the Federal Government's think tanks on "Trusted Cloud", "Smart Data" and "Plattform Industrie 4.0". He has repeatedly contributed to expert hearings of the EU Commission on shaping the EU Digital Strategy. He has served as a member of the Steering Group of the International Data Spaces Association, and is a board member of the "Muenchner Kreis", a prominent independent organization that analyses and provides orientation on a national and international basis to business, academia and public policy on the challenges of the digital transformation.
Alexander contributes regularly to publications on tech-, data- and digital economy related topics, and is a frequent speaker at national and international events.
