Andrea Motbey is a counsel in our employment practice
Andrea has a particular focus in advising clients in employment, industrial relations and discrimination law. She has expertise in workplace complaints and investigations, discrimination claims, senior executive employment and disputes and corporate transactions.
Andrea also advises clients on remuneration and benefits, drafting employment agreements and policies, employee performance, ethical conduct and behaviour matters, unfair dismissal and general protections claims, bullying matters, restructuring and redundancy, and employee entitlements reviews and remediations.
Andrea advises clients across a range of industries, and has represented clients in the Fair Work Commission, the New South Wales Industrial Relations Commission, civil and administrative tribunals and the Federal Court of Australia. Andrea has also advised clients appearing before parliamentary committees and a royal commission.
Andrea's previous career experience as a senior in-house lawyer helps her to understand client objectives and provide strategic advice.
