Carmen Profitós is a counsel in the tax practice and head of Tax Litigation Spain
Carmen specialises in tax litigation and in the prevention and resolution of tax disputes at administrative and judicial level. She also has experience in economic criminal law.
She has a strong background in litigation and has advised domestic and international clients on tax inspection procedures and through all the subsequent stages, from handling tax disputes in the administrative courts to appearing as an advocate in contentious tax proceedings before the High Court and the Supreme Court and in criminal cases related to tax fraud. She has also supervised cross-border actions and coordinated procedures and appeals in other jurisdictions and has been involved in proceedings before the European Commission and the ECJ. She is member of the Spanish Bar Association and qualified as solicitor in England and Wales.
Some of her key clients are Banco Santander, VidaCaixa, Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas, Bwin.party and Procter & Gamble.
