Hoi Tak Leung is a counsel in our digital economy practice and the Asia lead for Ashurst Advance
Hoi's practice focuses on technology, emerging technologies and data-related matters.
Hoi has a particular focus on technology and commercial projects and agreements – including outsourcing; technology and content licensing and development; distribution and supply of goods and services; and TMT/IP-focused corporate transactions. He has extensive experience across Asia-Pacific for such projects.
Hoi is our lead data privacy and cybersecurity lawyer in Asia. He works closely with our global data team and Ashurst Risk Advisory on large-scale, cross-jurisdictional data and cybersecurity matters.
Hoi also focuses on TMT-related advisory work, with a particular focus on emerging technologies – including for fintech, digital assets, biometric technologies, artificial intelligence and global products and services expansion.
As the Asia lead for Ashurst Advance (our NewLaw division) – Hoi works with our wider team to bring to our Asia offices and clients innovative and technology-enabled legal services.
Hoi is admitted in New South Wales and Hong Kong.
