Irene Antypas is a counsel in our antitrust, regulation and foreign investment practice and EU law practice
Irene specialises in EU competition and regulatory law, with particular experience on EU life sciences regulatory issues involving chemicals, agrochemicals, medicines, cosmetics and the environment.
Her clients include a great number of leading life sciences companies and European trade associations. She has represented clients in matters concerning decisions taken by the European Commission and member state authorities, as well as the underlying scientific assessments performed by the European Medicines Agency, the European Food Safety Authority and the European Chemicals Agency. Most recently, Irene acted for Syngenta in the high-profile "neonicotinoid" EU court case brought against the EU Commission, and represented the interests of the European agrochemicals and chemicals industries before EU's highest court in the "glyphosate" case concerning access to environmental information.
