Julian Jarrett is a senior associate in our antitrust, regulation and trade practice, specialising in public procurement and subsidy control.
Julian specialises in public procurement law and qualified as a Solicitor (England & Wales) in 2019. He advises central and local government authorities, other public sector bodies, utilities as well as private sector bidders on the application of public procurement rules. Julian advises on the structuring of complex procurement processes, including choice of tendering procedure, preparation of procurement notices, the drafting of tender documentation and obligations during the award and debriefing stages. Julian also provides strategic risk advice at all stages of the procurement cycle, including where there is a contentious angle.
Julian also specialises in EU state aid and UK subsidy control, including acting for the public and private sector when seeking to demonstrate compliance with the subsidy control principles and approaching the Subsidy Advice Unit for referrals.
