Phil Breden is a partner in our corporate practice
He currently is an elected member of the firm's Global Board and has previously been the firm's Global Co-Head of Corporate and Head of Region, Australia.
Phil has received recognition as a leading Australian M&A lawyer in legal directories such as Chambers Global, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000, and advises large ASX-listed companies as well as European and US-based multinationals.
Phil specialises in public and private M&A, corporate advisory and capital markets. His practice spans a variety of sectors, with particular expertise in energy, utilities, real estate, manufacturing and gaming. He also has deep experience in shareholder activism matters.
Transactions which Phil has led include Woolworths Group's $13bn demerger of ASX-50 company Endeavour Group, CPH on Blackstone's $9bn acquisition of Crown Resorts, HOCHTIEF on its $5b privatisation of CIMIC and HomeCo Daily Needs REIT on its $3bn acquisition of Aventus Group.
