Ronnie King works out of the Ashurst Korea JV, focusing on international arbitration, white collar crime and compliance. He has practised with Ashurst since 1984 and was most recently a partner in the firm's Tokyo office. He is the former Managing Partner of both the Singapore and Tokyo offices and former head of international arbitration at Ashurst. He has a wealth of experience in arbitrations based in Asia and has handled complex disputes for clients in a variety of industries, in particular, the energy, power and mining, telecoms and insurance and re-insurance sectors. Prior to his relocation to Asia, Ronnie acted on some of the highest value commercial arbitration and litigation cases in the London market, including the largest-ever claim for competition law damages and several major disputes between Russian oligarchs.
Ronnie also frequently acts on fraud and corruption investigations for major corporations. Ronnie regularly advises clients on sensitive prosecutorial investigations concerning alleged bribery and breach of international sanctions. He has long been recognised in major independent guides in the legal profession as an accomplished expert practitioner for his arbitration, investigations and energy sector disputes work.
Ronnie is qualified in England & Wales.
