Will Chalk is a partner in our corporate transactions practice
Will provides corporate governance and compliance advice to UK listed, AIM and larger private companies. This includes advice on directors' duties, FCA Handbook and AIM Rules requirements, narrative reporting obligations and governance code recommendations. Will spends a lot of his time providing induction and update training to individual directors, boards, and senior management teams as well as general counsel and company secretaries. Will has also deployed various legal tech solutions to various governance and compliance issues.
Will has undertaken various secondments including to the UK Listing Authority (as was) and as the acting company secretary of a FTSE 250 telecoms company. He is ranked as a leading individual in Corporate Governance by the Legal 500. He is also a member of the Financial Reporting Lab's Steering Group.
He has contributed to several publications, including the Business Case for Corporate Governance (Cambridge University Press) and A Practical Guide to Directors' Duties (CBI).
