Ashurst advised on the establishment of Mars Equity Dragon Fund investing into the tech sector in APAC

Global law firm Ashurst acted as lead counsel in advising and assisting MARS Growth Capital, a joint venture between Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and Liquidity Group, in the establishment of Mars Equity Dragon Fund. This new fund will make growth equity investments into private, tech and tech-enabled companies. With an initial commitment of up to US$500 million, the fund will initially focus on the Asia-Pacific region, targeting private, tech and tech-enabled companies. Deal sizes will range between US$20 million to US$100 million and the fund will have the flexibility to make primary and secondary investments.

The transaction was led by partner Danny Tan, supported by Ashurst ADTLaw associate director Hanyin Huang.
