Ashurst recognised at Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards 2023

Global law firm Ashurst has received the Brunei Firm of the Year Award from the Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards announced on 11 May. Singapore based employment counsel Karen Mitra is named Rising star of the year. 

Ashurst has a long-standing presence in Brunei, with expertise in sectors crucial to Brunei's economy including infrastructure, petrochemicals and oil and gas. The firm is also a key government adviser.  Led by Singapore-based partner Rob Palmer, our Brunei practice has consistently been ranked by legal directories for the past decade. 

Karen advises her clients on a broad range of employment law and workplace relations issues across the Asia Pacific region including international employee mobility, restructurings and redundancies, employment aspects of M&A transactions, leave entitlements and benefits (including executive employment) and disciplinary issues and dismissals.
